A family craft, cultivated over time

Villa Crine is a historic 18th-century residence located in Pedemonte, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, and has belonged to the Venturini family for generations.

In 1893, the quality of the wines produced on the estate received a prestigious award. A legacy that Giovanni Battista, Mara, Giuseppe and Diletta continue to preserve and carry forward today, keeping alive the bond between family, territory and winemaking tradition.

Every wine is produced entirely at Villa Crine, exclusively from grapes grown in the family's own vineyards. All stages of production take place on the estate: grape drying, winemaking, ageing and bottling.

The ancient cellars beneath the villa now coexist with modern production facilities and spaces dedicated to hospitality. Villa Crine welcomes those wishing to discover the history and wines of Valpolicella through guided cellar tours, wine tastings and private experiences, as well as corporate events and special occasions.

The vineyards of Villa Crine, all owned by the family, are located exclusively in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, on the hills between San Pietro in Cariano and Negrar, in areas particularly suited to the production of Valpolicella's finest wines. The diversity of soils, exposures and microclimates gives each vineyard its own unique characteristics. To enhance these distinctive qualities, grapes from the most representative vineyards are vinified separately, preserving their identity and expression of the terroir. The hillside vineyards extend across terraces supported by traditional dry-stone walls, locally known as “marogne”, distinctive features of the landscape and winemaking heritage of Valpolicella.

Dating back to 1750, the original cellar of Villa Crine stands as a precious testament to our history and the winemaking tradition of Valpolicella. Carved into the tuff rock and still in use today, it preserves the authentic charm of its origins. Its spaces are partly dedicated to wine ageing in wooden barrels and partly to welcoming guests, offering an evocative setting for wine tastings and experiences.

An underground passage connects the historic cellar to the modern production facilities, equipped with the latest winemaking technologies. Villa Crine's winery extends across three interconnected structures dating from different historical periods, reflecting the evolution of the estate over the centuries. Here, all the main stages of winemaking take place, from fermentation and ageing to bottling, in a perfect balance between tradition and innovation.

Carved into the tuff rock of Colle Masua, the cave is one of the most evocative spaces within Villa Crine's winery. Water naturally seeping through the rock creates a gentle, melodic background sound, making this place truly unique and fascinating. The natural thermal stability, darkness and tranquillity of the environment provide ideal conditions for the slow ageing of wines, supporting their evolution and allowing their qualities to fully express themselves.
